The committees backing Amendments 47, 49 and 54 hired firms that used people with criminal records - including a registered sex offender - to stand outside supermarkets and collect our signatures and personal information. Other circulators have records involving everything from forgery to assault to stalking.

We believe that if you choose to participate in the citizens' process to qualify a measure for the ballot, you shouldn’t resort to hiring people with criminal records to do it.

Jonathan Coors and the other backers of Amendments 47, 49 and 54 should be ashamed.
